Denise Chacon-Portillo, is a PhD student in the Interdisciplinary Health Sciences at The University of Texas at El Paso. She has coordinated and trained on diabetes education programs. Her work consists of public health research, community outreach, and health equity, with multiple honors for service and leadership in health education.
