Join us for an insightful presentation where we delve into effective communication strategies for educating visually impaired individuals about diabetes management. This session will highlight innovative approaches to diabetes testing and self-care for people with disabilities. Hear inspiring personal stories of patients who, despite their struggles, successfully managed their diabetes after tailored interventions. Additionally, we will explore resources available for DCESs, including the use of Continuous Glucose Monitors and other supportive tools, to better assist patients with disabilities in managing diabetes.

Identify two ways to communicate diabetes and best practices to those with visual impairments.
Identify two resources to solicit education/support for the DCES.
Identify barriers and resolutions for CGM devices.
