(F27) Attack Dyslipidemias with New and Emerging Therapies for LDL, Lp(a), and TG

Dyslipidemia is a major comorbid factor among the US population with diabetes. Elevated LDL cholesterol (LDL-C) and Lipoprotein-a (Lp(a)) contribute to atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) and elevated triglycerides (TG) may contribute to acute pancreatitis. Evolving treatment options are necessary to combat these diseases through new and/or more effective mechanisms. Several new treatments are available, or are in phase 2 or phase 3 trials, that have shown impressive results for treatment of LDL-C, Lp(a) and TG and several may also significantly impact ASCVD risk. It is important for healthcare professionals to be up to date on these findings to impact patient outcomes.
