Through real-world case studies, you will gain the tactical skills needed to navigate complex medication reviews, reduce financial barriers, and empower patients. Learning Objectives:

At the completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
  • Identify and review treatment algorithms (ADA, AHA, ACC, KDIGO) related to diabetes in the older adult and current prescribing practices.
  • Describe methods of deprescribing while addressing the needs of treating cardiometabolic conditions of the older adult.
  • Apply deprescribing principles to case studies related to deprescribing practices and/or patient safety.
