(P113) Understanding the Impact of Audience Centered Delivery of the Diabetes Prevention Program

According to the CDC, 1 in 3 adults has prediabetes in the US. The National DPP is an evidence-based lifestyle change program that reduces the risk of developing T2D by 58%, and by 71% among adults aged ≥ 60 years. To improve outcomes across diverse groups, the program must be delivered in responsive, tailored ways. Audience Centered Delivery (ACD) is a framework that integrates cultural humility, social determinants of health, and health-related social needs into program delivery. This poster highlights how ACD approaches enhance participant motivation, retention, and program completion and aims to inform lifestyle coaches, program coordinators, and public health practitioners on how ACD is essential to individual lifestyle change success.
