(P404) Diabetes Prevention Among American Indian Youth: The Victory Program

Childhood obesity is one risk factor for developing diabetes among youth. The rate of T2D among youth is increasing drastically. Many social determinants of health play a role in daily eating habits and levels of physical activity. This poster provides insight into a multidisciplinary team approach to a lifestyle modification program for families among the American Indian population in northern Arizona within the Winslow Service Area. This program, named Victory, involves a pediatric clinic with frequent follow-up visits, group sessions, and case management.
