(P615) Evaluation of the 450 Rule and 1700 Rule for Estimating Insulin-to-Carbohydrate Ratio and Insulin Sensitivity Factor in the twiist™ AID System
Chief Scientific Officer Sequel Medtech Manchester, New Hampshire, United States
The 450 Rule and 1700 Rule are commonly used methods to estimate an individual's insulin-to-carbohydrate ratio (ICR) and insulin sensitivity factor (ISF). This poster reviews a study aimed at assessing the clinical utility of the 450 Rule and 1700 Rule at predicting the ICR and ISF in patients with T1D using the twiist automated insulin delivery (AID) system. Our data suggests that these rules may underestimate the amount of insulin needed for both the ICR and ISF.
