There is a growing need for pediatric diabetes prevention programs, particularly for children aged 0 to 6 years, a critical developmental period linked to future T2D risk. Despite a significant increase in pediatric T2D, most existing interventions focus on older children and adults. This poster discusses a literature review examining the gap in early childhood T2 prevention and exploring strategies for developing tailored programs for younger children, particularly those in socioeconomically disadvantaged communities. The poster authors share Insights into the current literature, the importance of early intervention, and the specific challenges of addressing this age group in diabetes prevention efforts.
