(P300) Satisfaction and Perceived Impact of Inhaled Insulin Among T1D Exchange Registry Users

Inhaled insulin has been available for nearly a decade as a safe, effective, rapid-acting insulin with a unique delivery method. However, real-world experiences and perceptions among users remain largely unknown. Understanding these experiences is essential to guide future non-injectable insulin development and expand management options for individuals using insulin. This poster discusses a study whose purpose was to better understand real-world effectiveness, satisfaction, and perceptions of this unique mode of insulin therapy on quality of life and diabetes management using a sample of individuals with T1D or LADA to understand experiences with inhaled insulin among current and past users. Adults from the T1D Exchange Registry who reported current or past use of inhaled insulin were recruited, with the final sample consisting of 151 participants (89 current users, 62 past users) who completed survey measures.
