Dietary modifications may reduce cardiovascular disease risk in people with diabetes. This poster outlines a secondary analysis of the Pro-HEART trial, a randomized controlled trial comparing the effects of a three-month intervention of a high-protein diet, “HPD” (30% protein), to a standard-protein diet, “SPD” (15% protein), in adults with overweight/obesity, heart failure, and T2D or metabolic syndrome.
